Partnering with the Ministry on NUMŪ
We are working with Lebanon's Ministry of Technology and AI to bring digital and AI skills training to South Lebanon.
A 501(c)(3) nonprofit
We invest in education, skills and community life across South Lebanon. Our newest work, with Lebanon's Ministry of State for Technology and Artificial Intelligence, brings digital and AI training to young people across the South.
Featured initiative
NUMŪ is a national program of Lebanon's Ministry of State for Technology and Artificial Intelligence. At the Minister's invitation, we have partnered with the Ministry to bring its training to students and early-career professionals in South Lebanon.
Our story
Ibrahim and Aziza came from Deir Mimas, a village in South Lebanon. They believed deeply in education and gave what they could to their community. After their passing in 2002, the family founded the Moussa Foundation in their memory, and over the years it awarded more than 300 scholarships and supported families in need through schools, churches, orphanages and hospitals.
Today the Foundation is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit led by Abie Musa. Our purpose has not changed: helping young people in South Lebanon begin their education, see it through, and find good work without having to leave.

We start with what a community needs, and we stay for the long term.
Enterprises we helped start
Both companies were seeded by the Moussa Foundation in Deir Mimas, the village our family comes from. Both are doing well, and both now serve customers well beyond Lebanon.
Our scholars
Many of the students we have supported went on to become doctors, lawyers and engineers, with degrees from some of the world's leading universities.
Roots and branches
Many families from South Lebanon now live around the world. We send occasional news about our work and the communities we serve.
Your gift supports training, education and opportunity in the South. Gifts to the Moussa Foundation may be tax-deductible as allowed by law.
